The Read

A low-strength glycolic liquid for gradual, daily refinement.

What it is

A 5% glycolic-acid exfoliating liquid.

Glycolic acid in a humectant base of betaine and sodium PCA, with cranberry and lingonberry antioxidants — a cotton swipe that refines the surface without drawing skin tight.

Why it works

Glycolic refines the surface and, over time, signals deeper.

As the smallest AHA, glycolic penetrates fast to smooth and brighten the surface; sustained use has been shown to nudge collagen and hyaluronic-acid content in the dermis. At 5% the effect is gradual — built for most-night use rather than a once-in-a-while peel. Like all acids it raises sun sensitivity, so daytime SPF is required.

How to use

A cotton swipe in the evening.

On clean, dry skin, avoiding the eye area. Start a few nights a week and build toward nightly as your skin tolerates. Always follow with moisture, and SPF by day.

Refining · the active

Glycolic Acid

5%

The smallest alpha-hydroxy acid, so it penetrates fastest to loosen dead surface cells and reveal brighter skin. In controlled use glycolic acid increased type-I collagen and hyaluronic-acid content of human skin; at 5% the resurfacing is gentle and cumulative, made for daily rhythm.

Hydration

Betaine & Sodium PCA

Humectants that pull water into the surface so daily acid use doesn't read as dryness — the reason this can be a most-night liquid rather than a weekly treatment.
