The Read

A weekly resurfacing concentrate, built for careful home use.

What it is

A 10% lactic-acid peel serum.

A single, well-chosen AHA — lactic acid at 10% — with 1% hyaluronic acid and soothing white tea and sage. Strong enough to resurface, buffered enough to use yourself.

Why it works

Lactic acid resurfaces and holds water at once.

It loosens the bonds between dead surface cells so they shed evenly, revealing smoother skin and softening fine lines and dark marks over weeks. Lactic is the larger, gentler AHA — it works more slowly than glycolic, which is the point for at-home use. The trade-off: it raises sun sensitivity, so daytime SPF is non-negotiable after.

How to use

A thin layer at night, once or twice weekly.

On clean, dry skin, on a night you're using no other actives. Leave it on; rinse in the morning if your skin is new to acids. Build up slowly — one night a week before two.

Lactic Acid

10%

An alpha-hydroxy acid that dissolves the glue holding dead cells to the surface. Topical lactic acid was shown to thicken and firm the epidermis and improve smoothness and the look of lines; at 10% it resurfaces meaningfully while staying gentler than glycolic.

Hydration

Hyaluronic Acid

1%

Draws and holds water in the upper layers, so freshly resurfaced skin reads plump and calm rather than tight. It buffers the peel — the reason this strength is tolerable at home.
